Appointments To The CJA Panel And CJA Ad Hoc Committee
Ms. Fitz has been selected to serve as a Panel Attorney under the federal Criminal Justice Act (CJA) in Atlanta, Los Angeles and – currently – West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce. The CJA Panel is a group of qualified and court-approved attorneys who are eligible for appointment by the Court to represent individuals in federal criminal cases who are unable for financial reasons to retain counsel. The appointments are made by the Court on a rotating basis among members of the panel.
She has also been appointed by the chief judge of the Southern District of Florida to serve on the ad hoc committee whose members review the qualifications of applicants for membership on the CJA panel. They recommend the best-qualified attorneys to the court as well as review referrals from district or magistrate judges requesting the removal of attorneys from the CJA panel. Committee members then make any necessary recommendations to the court.
Consider The Testimonies Below
Check out what some previous clients have had to say about attorney Ann Fitz:
Federal Fraud Client
“I can not say enough good things about Ann. I was charged with a very serious federal crime and looking at between 20-30 years. Ann was recommended to me and was the third attorney I hired for my case. She was there for me and my family throughout the whole process and informed me of everything from best case to worst case scenario. She negotiated a really good deal for me and at sentencing really fought hard for the lowest sentence I could get. Ann is a great attorney, I would recommend her to anyone.”
Tough and Trustworthy
“Ann is smart, knowledgeable, tough in court, and extremely trustworthy. She represented me in a federal case and did everything she said she was going to do, and then some. She gave me my options and worked to achieve the goals we set out together. I would highly recommend her.”
Great Attorney
“Ann Fitz is very professional. Client-oriented. Willing to do everything possible under the law to protect and defend her client. Overall, she is a very direct, straightforward (no sugar-coating) attorney. She is also a very beautiful human being. Ann is efficient, caring, and knows the law. I wouldn’t go to any other attorney.”
